National CJA Voucher Policy Training
In conjunction with the Office of Defender Services of the United States Courts, the U.S. District Court and the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Ohio have developed a program to train the district's panel attorneys on the national Criminal Justice Act (CJA) policies and procedures. At the end of the 90 minute program, panel attorneys will fully understand the CJA process from initial appointment to final approval of a voucher and will also receive 1.5 hours of CLE credit. Topics that will be discussed during the program include: CJA Overview and Processes; Compensation and Expenses for Counsel; Authorization and Payment for Other Services; National Online Reference Tool; and CJA20 Calculating Spreadsheet.
