CLE Program: Supreme Court - The Term in Review (2011-2012)
The Federal Judicial Center is again offering the Supreme Court: The Term in Review (2011-2012) via the Federal Judicial Television Network. If you wish to obtain CLE credits, the Clerk's Office will be showing the 90 minute program on the following dates:
Cleveland November 2, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. and November 16, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Automation Training Room
Akron October 26, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. and November 8, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Clerk's Office Conference Room
Toledo October 4, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in Courtroom 209
Youngstown October 26, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. and November 9, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in the Clerk's Office Jury Assembly Room.
The program is primarily for judges, law clerks, and staff attorneys. It concentrates on U.S. Supreme Court decisions most likely to affect the work of federal judges, examines opinions deciding First, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendments, Sentencing, Federalism, and the Federal Courts, Civil Rights and the constitutionality of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The program materials, including CLE information and brief synopses of all the Court's formal decisions this term are available here: Supreme Court: The Term in Review 2011-2012. Copies of said materials will be provided to you on the day of the program.
Participants are eligible to receive 1.5 CLE credits upon completion of an attendance form after the program has been viewed. Said attendance form will be provided on the day of the viewing.
Please arrive a few minutes before the scheduled time to complete the attendance form and sign-in sheet (Bar Number needed). The Clerk's Office will report all CLE hours directly to the Ohio Supreme Court.
