Jury trials are scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Any issue requiring court intervention must be presented at the beginning or end of the trial day. Bench trials are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Counsel are to make one word objections only (e.g. leading, hearsay); further discussions will take place at sidebar
Counsel shall address all witnesses by their surnames.
Counsel may move around the courtroom.
The Court will permit jurors to present written questions and to take notes
Counsel may request the opportunity to conduct voir dire after the court has completed his questioning.
The Court expects counsel to be prompt for all Court sessions.
The Court will give jurors a copy of the Jury Charge prior to reading it in open court.
Counsel are expected to agree upon jury instructions.
