Clients released from a Bureau of Prisons facility have 72 hours to report, in person, to the U.S. Pretrial Services and Probation Office in the district which you are released.
If you were sentenced to probation, you are required to report to the U.S. Pretrial Services and Probation Office immediately after sentencing or the next business day if it is after 5:00 p.m.
Clients already on supervision or probation are encouraged to have a scheduled appointment before reporting to the office. If you do not have a scheduled appointment, you will be required to see a duty officer if your U.S. Pretrial Services and Probation officer is not present at the time of your arrival. The potential wait period could be up to 30 minutes to see a duty officer, so appointments are strongly encouraged.
You are encouraged to call the U.S. Pretrial Services and Probation Office prior to reporting during inclement weather.
