The Federal Bar Association, Northern District of Ohio Chapter, and The United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio proudly announce a special Swearing-in Ceremony for Admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, which will be conducted by Scott S. Harris, Clerk of Court, Supreme Court of the United States, on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.
 
11:30 a.m. – Registration
12:00 to 1:30 p.m. – Luncheon and Swearing-In Ceremony
 
Location:  Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, Ambassador Ballroom
 
Don’t miss this special opportunity to be sworn into the highest court of our land.
 
*Please note that to qualify for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, you must have been admitted to practice in the highest court of a State, Commonwealth, Territory or Possession, or in the District of Columbia, for at least three years. You will need a current certificate of good standing and a completely executed copy of the application form containing your personal statement and the statement of two sponsors endorsing the correctness of your statement. Both sponsors must be members of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, who personally know, but are not related to, you.
 
The Federal Bar Association, Northern District of Ohio Chapter, will be coordinating the registration for the luncheon and applications for admission to The Supreme Court of the United States.
 
Special note:  Registration form and Application for Admission (including "Motion for Admission" signed by one of your sponsors), along with all supporting documentation and fees, must be completed and returned to the Federal Bar Association, Northern District of Ohio Chapter no later than July 20, 2018.  Be certain to provide sufficient time to obtain your certificate of good standing from the Supreme Court of the state in which you were admitted.
