Monday, September 17, 2018

The Federal Bar Association is presenting two CLE programs following the State of the Court Luncheon on October 9, 2018 at the Cleveland Hilton Downtown.

2:00 p.m.: Romance, International Intrigue, and Trade Secrets - Take a provocative look at the Defend Trade Secrets Act while learning to harness the power of this important new statute, which recently celebrated its second anniversary. This seminar will transport you through back rooms, across international borders, and even into the Oval Office as you study the tumultuous cases of the DTSA's first two years. You will leave with the tools you need to advise your clients and successfully handle DTSA cases in federal court.

3:15 p.m.: Looking Back and Looking Forward to the New Term of the Supreme Court - A panel discussion with Dean C.J. Peters (University of Akron Law School), Professor Jonathan Entin (Case Western Reserve University School of Law) and Professor David Forte (Cleveland-Marshall College of Law) on the legacy of Justice Kennedy and the new Supreme Court term and what practitioners can expect should the U.S. Senate confirm Judge Kavanaugh.

A happy hour at "Bar 32" located on the rooftop of the Hilton will follow the programs at 4:30 p.m.
