This year marks the 25th anniversary of the passage of two significant federal statutes, the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act (AEDPA) and the Prison Litigation Reform Act (PLRA).

On November 12, 2021, the Federal Bar Association, Northern District of Ohio Chapter, is cosponsoring a daylong symposium, "AEDPA and the PLRA After 25 Years," at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. The program will feature leading legal scholars, practitioners, and federal judges. The program carries 6 hours of CLE credit. It is open to the public and will be livestreamed.
